Comprehensive Training Committee

Purpose:
  • To provide training, support and mentoring for the beginning financial aid professional.
  • To offer a comprehensive training workshop on a bi-annual basis, or as needs dictate.
Duties:
  • Survey membership to be aware of needs and preferences; schedule training in response.

  • Plan the comprehensive training workshop and recruit trainers and presenters.

  • Obtain sanctioned training materials.

  • Handle all registration activities.

  • Produce training materials to be shared with attendees.

  • Work with the Annual Conference and Training Committees to ensure that neophyte interests are represented during training sessions.

  • Prepare a budget for annual operations and account to the Treasurer for all expenditures with necessary supporting documentation.

 

 

Membership:
  • Chair (or co-chairs): Appointed by the President.
  • Members: At least three committee members (additional as necessary), selected by the chair with the approval of the President.
 

 

Tenure:
  • One year, but may be re-appointed.
 

 

Qualifications:
  • Senior financial aid professionals with training experience.
