| Purpose: |
- To expose young students and their families to early college
planning and to inspire students to envision a college education
in the future. To provide outreach for the Community at large and
serve as a source of information for planning for the expense of
higher education

| Duties: |
- Develop relationships with established government and college preparatory
programs and offer our expertise as college financial aid professionals.
- Survey the Community for needs and wants and develop appropriate
programs.
- Plan and organize at least one major Early Awareness activity each
year (Currently the poster contest). Engage in programs and projects
that captivate the attention of our target audience (KIDS).
- Make presentations to Middle and High Schools, as requested.
- Provide information and training to association members.
- Make reference materials available to membership and the public.
- Prepare a budget for annual operations and account to the Treasurer
for all expenditures with necessary supporting documentation.

| Membership: |
- Chair (or co-chairs): Appointed by the President. The
chair (or one co-chair) must be an Institutional Member.
- Members: At least two committee members (additional as
necessary), selected by the chair with the approval of the
President.

| Tenure: |
- One year, but may be re-appointed.
|
| |

| Qualifications: |
- Interest in and commitment to the purpose of the committee
and experience working with similar committees.
