Mentoring Committee

Purpose:
  • To welcome and acclimate new members to CAPFAA and increase the number of members who participate by volunteering on committees, serving as committee chairs, and running for office.
Duties:
  • Define constituencies to be served and their needs.
  • Define the needs of CAPFAA to be served by this committee.
  • Prepare a plan to achieve the committee's purpose.
  • Work with the Chairs of the Comprehensive Training Commitee to connect with newcomers, and the Proprietary Concerns Committee, Multi Cultural and Diversity Committee, and other committees as appropriate to provide mentoring opportunities.
  • Prepare a budget for annual operations and account to the Treasurer for all expenditures with necessary supporting documentation.
 

 

Membership:
  • Chair (or Co-Chairs): Appointed by the President
  • Members: At least three committee members (additional as necessary), selected by the Chair with the approval of the President.
 

 

Tenure:
  • One year, but may be re-appointed.
 

 

Qualifications:
  • Interest in and commitment to the purposes of the Committee and commitment to the advancement of the Association.
