Finance Committee

PURPOSE
  • To provide financial oversight for the Association
DUTIES
  • To oversee the receipt, disbursement, maintenance, and reporting of all monies of the Association under policies approved by the Executive Council.
  • The Co-Chair is authorized to perform the duties of the Treasurer in the event the Treasurer is temporarily or permanently unable to serve, until a new Treasurer is appointment for the remainder of the year.
MEMBERSHIP
  • Chair: Treasurer (Constitutionally mandated)
  • Co-Chair: Appointed by by the President.
  • Members: Selected by the Chair/ Co-Chairs with the approval of the President.
TENURE
  • Chair corresponds to the term of office of the Treasurer (normally a two year period).
  • Co-chairs and committee members serve one year, but may be re-appointed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The Finance Committee Chair is the elected Treasurer of the Association.
  • Co-Chairs and committee members should demonstrate commitment, organization, and high ethical standards as well as prior professional, Executive Council, and/or other experience on a similar committee.
