Dear CAPFAA Colleagues:
It is with great anticipation of the new year that I welcome you all to “2011-2012″, and thank you for the opportunity to serve as CAPFAA President.
During the Annual Business Meeting in June, a large number of well-deserved awards and certificates were given to hard-working members who had served on committees and on the Executive Council during 2010-2011. One week later, the Executive Council and committee chairs were hard at work planning for an even better 2011-2012 academic year! To make this year a grand success, your help is needed. Please join a committee, attend an Executive Council meeting, or participate in opportunities that come your way!
Membership information will be available within the next month; the Training Committee and Conference Committee are off and running and the State and Federal Relations Committee has been very busy following a federal budget that still does not exist at the time of this writing!
In the meantime, I wish you all a smooth and productive start to the school year, and look forward to working with you, not only as an officer of CAPFAA, but also as a financial aid professional.
