Summer 2015 President’s Message

Dear CAPFAA Members,

Happy Summer!  Well my term has just started and I am happy to say we are off and running.  We welcomed our new officers in for the year including:  Ashley Dutton as our President Elect, Melissa Stephens as our Vice President, and Alex Muro as our EASFAA Representative and Josh Hurlock as our Associate Member Representative.

The Executive Council had our two-day planning retreat July 1st and 2nd(thank you to all who joined in) and I think we will have a great year filled with opportunities to learn and network and plan for the future of CAPFAA. 

We will be reaching out to the membership in the coming weeks and months to get your ideas and opinions about CAPFAA as we work on our Strategic Plan and think of new ways to deliver opportunities for training.

Have a question or idea for CAPFAA? Please feel free to reach out to me and share your thoughts. I look forward to getting to see old friends and making new ones over this next year.

Don’t forget your help is always needed:

• Volunteer to join in and help with the work of the committee
• Consider presenting at a training opportunity – you can always do it with a friend if you don’t want to do it alone
• Complete our surveys to tell us what you think about CAPFAA
