Where do you work and what is your title? I work at the University of New Haven, Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Why did you enter the field of Financial Aid? I have been in financial aid for about five years, I worked as a Financial Aid Representative then a Loan Certification Officer now as an Assistant Director.

What do you like most about your job? The diversity and challenges of the work. Meeting with families, reviewing financial aid packages and understanding the federal, state and institutional regulations.

Most exotic place you’ve visited? Japan

If you won the lottery, how would you spend your millions? Helping my family first, then others, do lots of volunteer work and traveling.

What type of music do you like? And, if you had a theme song, what would it be? All music, all genres, I have so many songs as the playlist to my life. I believe there is a song for everything, so I don’t have a particular theme song.

What is your biggest pet peeve? People not cleaning up after themselves, showing you know how to take care of your own mess, you don’t think others are supposed to do it for you.

Who is your favorite author? Sylvia Plath, Joyce Carol Oates and Jane Austen

What is your guilty pleasure? Peanut butter and chocolate

What is the last book you read? Leaving Time, Jodi Picoult

What was your most favorite training so far and why? Anything related to Pell, loans origination and disbursing

Who has been the biggest influence in your life? My four sisters

What do you do when you are not working? Enjoy time with family, friends, I enjoy writing and reading
